#NSale: Try On & Review

The day has finally come! Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 is HERE! If you missed my previous post talking about the Nordstrom Sale, and you are unsure why this is a big deal, please click HERE to read. I don't want anyone to be confused and there is a lot of information to know. One of the best parts of the sale is that all of the inventory is brand new- never seen before. This is new inventory and it's arriving to the store on sale.  After the sale is over, it will go to normal prices.  SO now is the time to buy some closet staples for Fall and stock up with GREAT DEALS! I went to Nordstrom straight after work and did my shopping, yippee!  If you are a Nordstrom cardholder, shop using the links below! These photos were all taken on my iPhone, and if you head over to my Instagram stories you can see my video reviews of items.  If you missed it, its highlighted under my #NSale highlight tab! Let's get started...lots of goodies!

Some language I want to highlight before I dive in...

TTS- True To Size. | XS- Xtra Small | S- Small | ***Will sell out quickly

***If you are reading this after the sale is open to the public (July 20th) go ahead and shop using these links-- they should work since it is open to EVERYONE now.

***Top & Jeans- Both TTS. Love the mustard color for Fall this season and is a great basic tee- it comes in multiple colors! The jeans were also a MUST for me. The crop bottoms sold me.

***Top & Jeans- Such an easy combo! This light sweater is perfect for those cooler fall nights. You can add layers or wear it by it self depending on the weather. TTS, Size S.

***Cardigan & Jeans- The cardigan sold out last season and I'm guessing thats why they brought it back! Super soft and comes in multiple colors.  Will sell out fast again! Size S.

***Knit Cardigan & Jeans- (already selling out)Depending on what the weather is like near you, this could sell out.  Cali never gets to the point where I'm freezing, so I skipped out on this one.  Making me wish I had colder weather though, thats for sure! TTS.

***Blank NYC Jacket- One picture did NOT do this baby justice.  This will be a sell out item for sure! Love the olive green color and it runs TTS.

***Thermal- I've been waiting for the perfect top, and I'm glad I waited! Buying in multiple colors because this is a closet staple without a doubt.  I sized down for a smaller fit. XS

***Long Sleeve Tee- Another basic! Loved this unique color combo and how it goes with black and jean.  I sized down for a tighter fit. XS

***Camo Long Sleeve Tee- I sized down for a tighter fit.  XS. You can dress it up or down, and it's low cut v-neck.  Major plus for me!

***Fleece Pullover- It sold out last year and it will sell out again! I already have this from last season but you'll want to get it now while its at this price.  So worth it. TTS!

Patagonia Vest- I sized down because I like my vests to fit tighter rather than bigger. Perfect for the active person!

Top & Leggings- Not my favorite! But I told y'all I would include everything I tried on in this post. The leggings weren't the best material imo and the top was ok! I could live without it, though.

Addidas Top & Leggings- Not going to lie, I felt like a gangster in this top lol! It ran big so I would size down, but I personally didn't buy.  Not my style, but it is on sale for a good price!

***Nike Top & Leggings- More my jam! Perfect workout top.  I just prefer Lululemon leggings!

Eileen Fisher Sandals- I went down a size because I have tiny ankles and feet! Size 6 (my normal size) was too big but I ended up skipping on these shoes.  I wasn't head over heels and everybody on my Instagram stories voted no!

Halogen Mules- The cutest cheetah print loafers for Fall to make a statement! They didn't have my size so I wasn't able to buy, but I'm planning on buying when public access opens.

Tory Burch Boots- These were a hard pass.  First of all, super expensive.  Second of all, not as cute as the years past in my opinion. TTS though.

5 hours later at Nordstrom and...thats a wrap! This was everything I brought into my dressing room this year that I saw at my mall, and that caught my eye.  As you can see this years sale is focused on a lot of closet staples more than trendy items, which I really appreciate.  Seriously though you guys, SO much is on sale that I barely covered half of it.  BUT, I do think everything (the majority) in this post will sell fairly quickly.  My mall was entirely picked over and all of these items were selling out fast.  As most of you know Tim and I leave for vacation tomorrow, but I have 4 blog posts planned for you guys all about the Nordstrom sale still.  Since I did miss a lot, I'm going to be adding in everything that I'll be adding into my cart that I either missed at the store or I didn't see.  I don't have a Nordstrom card, so I was able to shop this because of a close family member who is a member.  With that being said, everything I missed and/or didn't get I will be buying when it is open to the public!

What you can expect to see from me...

Beauty Buys- This blog post I will be going over all of the beauty deals that are apart of the sale and everything I'm adding to my shopping cart.

Fitness Guru- I'm rounding up the best options for sneakers and those who love Nordstrom workout gear, and also my opinion on them.

Shoe Finds- The sale included SO many this year that it was kind of overwhelming for me. But I will be linking up what shoes you need for Fall and which ones are the most popular.

The Ultimate Guide- This is for those shopping the public access part of the sale, which opens up July 20th. I'll put an entire blog post together of everything I think you NEED. Based off my try-ons, what I got, reviews, and prices, it will be the ultimate guide.  My hope is that you buy everything off this guide because it will cover everything you need!

Well folks... we got a long week of Nordstrom stuff to cover here.  Nordstrom has my heart and soul (and most of my credit card) so I've been dying to do coverage of this sale since last year. Thank you so much for reading through and I hope you found this helpful.  If you have any questions at all, LET ME KNOW!

What I'm Packing for Mexico

Woo! Vacay is HERE! This weekend Tim and I leave for a cruise to Mexico with Tim's (almost) ENTIRE family.  Cousins, aunts, uncles, the whole gang will be there and I'm so excited! It's been over 5 years since I've been on a cruise so I'm more than ready to experience one again. I thought I would throw together a blog post to give you sneak peaks of what I'm wearing this weekend to give you guys a heads up because I already know a lot of it is going to go fast.  Make sure you are following me in the LIKEtoKnowIT App to get instant details of what I'm shopping and wearing. Not only that, but there is also some travel tips and tricks I have up my sleeves, along with my must haves that I'm bringing!

I've never been one to bring a lot of accessories on trips, but ever since I got into blogging I've been all about it.  I use THIS bag to store my makeup and toiletries, THIS bag to store my hair tools, THIS bag to store my jewelry, and THIS bag to hold my chargers. All of these things help me stay organized and have made the world of a difference for me.  Things don't get lost or broken, which was a huge problem for me before.

As far as packing goes, a tough thing that I've found is packing hats.  What I do now that makes it simple with no extra hassle is stuffing things in (like scarves, underwear, socks, etc.) to make it full and not have the form of it be ruined. I usually keep them at the bottom of my suitcase because that helps a lot.

When I'm going on a huge trip, like longer than 3 days, I try to make as much room in my suitcase as possible. I can overpack (especially now) and I don't like getting charged for having a heavier suitcase (haha). To create more space, I usually end up rolling up my clothes that can be rolled up.  For example, bathing suits, pajamas, underwear, stuff that I don't necessarily care about getting wrinkled. You would think this is common sense (am I right?), but I show some friends this hack and they're like "oh, I didn't even think of that!"

Another thing I have been doing for my whole life, is keeping the important things with me. I've been on one too many delays, and gotten my luggage lost more than once.  I learned my lesson the first time that it is important to keep things like toiletries, an extra pair of clothes, important paperwork, and other things that are important to you.  I usually keep all of that with me, and then on top of that makeup, pens, feminine (even if I'm not on it, you never know), and all my chargers and electronics with me. And of course wallet and phone!

How adorable is that tank?! It's from Shop Checka and I live for the beachy travel look! Linked below is mostly everything I'm bringing for the trip! Including new buys, the products I mentioned in my travel hacks, and some old(er) things that you can still buy.  Unfortunately my bag and romper is sold out though. Let me know if you have any questions as always-- and I can't wait to bring you along the trip! But first... NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE!

Swimsuit Shopping Guide: 2018

Hi loves! Long time no see ;) A busy season is upon us (at least for me!) so I've been trying to soak in as much calm as possible.  Our Summer takes off this weekend with our first vacation and then the streak continues for awhile.  I'm SO excited to take you guys along for the ride because life is going to get exciting! Today's post is about where you can find the best bathing suits, and where I shop for mine! I rounded some from my favorite stores to help you get prepared for vacation or just for some time by the pool! I categorized them by what kind of suits you are looking for since everyone has a preference, so scroll to find some major swim inspo!

The Cheeky Girl

Where my cheeky girls at?! If you like your bum to catch a little bit of sun, then this section is for you! I've gone through phases in these types of bikinis, I will admit.  I know every girl has! In high school I was all about it, then college came around and I was over it, and now I'm open to it for only special occasions.  Weird how that works! I linked the best cheeky bikinis of the season below, so scroll through the carasouel to do some shopping!

Bikini Season

These types of swimsuits are always my go-to! I prefer strapless because I LOVE a good natural tan, but I also think its fun when bathing suits have straps.  It always adds a little sass! I put a mix of strapless, tank, and bandeau type bikinis.  These are all around really good on coverage!

The last two years I would say, one pieces have been making a TOTAL come back! And I'm not mad about it! In high school I was completely against it, and honestly wanted nothing to do with it.  I was all about being the cheeky girl or bikini season. Now that brands have spiced things up and made really cute ones, low backs, sexy, criss cross, I'm all over it! This is personally my favorite section.

Bahama Mama

Where my mama friends at?! Being a nanny, I feel like over half of my friends are moms-- and its honestly my favorite! We just get each other, you know? I know Summer can be intimidating for some, but whether you are looking to cover up or be unique at the pool, I rounded up some of my favorite tankini designs that are so cute and also very decently priced!

Woo! That was a long one! For this post I tried to keep everyones price range in mind, meaning I got some in the $30 range and also few in the $100 range. I personally don't spend more (try not to at least) than $50 on suits, especially now.  I use a lot of mine for pictures and also just mainly need something cute and practical- I don't find it necessary to break the bank.  But for those looking to invest, there are ALWAYS some good finds in that range.

Stay tuned for my next post, which is How I Pack!

Summer 2018: Plans & Bucket List

Swimsuit | Sunnies | Hat | Book | Sandals

Can you guys believe that it is already summer? This year has flown by, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. As you guys know from my Father's Day post, which you can read HERE, it's been a rough year.  I wasn't sure that this summer was going to be so fun because I didn't know what was going to happen. Things are looking up, which means we can all sit back and relax for a little! Tim and I have about 6 trips planned from now until November, so we are going to be traveling a TON. I was planning on keeping a lot of our trips a surprise, which I still am ;) but I thought I would share our first two here!

In July we are out on a cruise to Mexico with Tim's entire family for a Schlueter Family Vacay! Its been at least 5 years since I have been on a cruise so I'm super excited.  Not only that, but to spend time with Tim's family and also go to Mexico! This was a destination for my family all growing up and we haven't been in awhile, so I'm happy to go back to some old stomping grounds.  You guys know I love to shop, so of course I'm grabbing some new outfits (specifically new bathing suits and new dresses) to wear!

Coming up quickly after we get home from our cruise, we are heading out to Palm Springs for my 21st birthday! It's crazy to think that I'm going to be 21.  I have mixed feeling about it! My first thought is, wow, the time has finally come.  My second thought is, are you sure I'm not older? Ha! I'm not a partier, like AT ALL. So I decided to just go with Tim and have it be a mellow trip of relaxing by the pool, eating out, and enjoying the sun.  When we get back I'll probably do a family dinner, but that's all I'm interested in!

As I get older, I try to remind myself how important it is to do bucket list things.  Not for the pictures, but to have the memories. I hope to have a big family one day and traditions are something I want to make a habit of! For example, making a list for every new season of things we can do together.  Even though the entire Summer is booked for us, I'm hoping to get around to doing these things with Tim, family, and friends.

Summer Bucket List

Bonfire at the Beach

Night Swimming

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018: Everything You Need To Know

The biggest sale of the year is literally around the corner! If you've been a follower for awhile you know Nordstrom is where my lives...and my money, HA! I think the reason why I love it so much is because 1. everything is so cute and 2. the quality lasts forever.  I have things in my closet from Nordstrom that I got when I was a freshman in high school and they're still going strong.  Some people complain about the prices, but its honestly worth it.  Don't worry about the prices this time of year though, because its the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!

What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?

You're probably thinking, "its just a sale, whats the big deal." Well you see, most sales usually mark down old merchandise and put it on sale.  This sale, they give you access to NEW merchandise that no one has seen yet, and it is all majorly discounted. And the best part is that its not limited to one or two categories, everything you could possibly think of is on sale.

When is the #NSale happening?

You need to know these dates. Why? Because everything is gone, and its gone FAST. The first people to gain access to the #NSale are Nordstrom Credit Card holders. I personally don't have a Nordstrom credit card, but there are a ton of benefits, and there is no annual fee.  If you want to do this, I recommend applying for this now so you're set up by the time the sale comes.

The dates for the sale are...

Early Access (Card Holders): July 12th-July 19th.

Open to the Public: July 20th-August 5th.

On August 6th, prices go back.

What are you excited about?

This is hard for me to say. I said on my Instagram stories that when the sale happened last year, I was only a few months into blogging.  It didn't even cross my mind to do a blog post on it, and it didn't occur to me that so many bloggers did coverage on it! I was obviously very new...lol! So I unfortunately can't share with you what I got. Not to mention, when the sale happened last year I was in Hawaii for my first travel nanny job! So I couldn't cover it anyways. As for what I'm excited about this year, this is also hard to say.  Everything I buy from Nordstrom, is NEVER in any of the catalogs. EVER. So when browsing through this years catalog, I saw more trends then things I'll actually be buying.  I will tell you though, I am eyeing some new activewear, beauty grabs, and a lot of cozy jackets!

So make sure to mark your calendars, and keep in mind that if you are not a card holder I will be doing a TON of coverage. I will be at Nordstrom July 12th (the first day it opens) so I will be doing a lot of try on stories and also sharing my favorites! SO excited!
