Dessert Round Up: Orange County Edition

So, if you know me, you know I LOVE dessert.  And if you didn’t, well now you do. 😉 Today’s post is all about my favorite dessert places in Orange County.  You might think it’s basic, but you should have seen it coming! Krispy Kreme is definitely at the top of my list.  Besides Krispy Kreme being #1, the rest are in no particular order.  I have tried plenty of dessert places all over the O.C. and these 10 are hands down my favorite. I would go to any of them again without a doubt!  I feel like a lot of dessert places get a lot of hype because of how cute the location is and how cute the food looks, and then you try it and it’s just alright.  These places are all adorable and the dessert is to DIE for! These places should definitely go on your date night list; let me know what you think of them!

1.  Krispy Kreme

I told you it was going to be #1!  I don’t care what any of you say, but these are the best donuts and nobody can top them.  End of story.

2.  Crème & Sugar

Located in Anaheim Hills, this place has the cutest and yummiest hot chocolate.  Even though the line can get pretty ridiculous, the Unicorn Hot Chocolate is so worth it!  Oh, and did I mention the Unicorn Bark, Unicorn Shake, and Unicorn Cake?  Guess you will just have to go try it for yourself.

3.  The Loop

If you are a churro lover, then this place is a must.  In my opinion, Disneyland will always have the best churros, but they can’t mix churros and ice cream like this place can.  Mix any type of ice cream with literally any topping you can think of and BOOM.  The most glorious creation will appear.  *Insert heart eyes here*

4.  The Dirty Cookie

Let me tell you-these things are straight up addicting.  You can’t just get one, you kind of have to get three.  Here, you are given your choice of a cookie out of the selection they have and the cookie is in the shape of a shot glass.  Then, you fill your cookie shot glass (that’s what I like to call it) with either coffee or different kinds of milk.  I always get either the chocolate chip or red velvet, with vanilla milk.

5.  Cauldron Ice Cream

This isn’t your typical ice cream place- let me tell you that much!  Whenever I go here I get the S’mores Puffle and boy it is DELICIOUS!  I love graham crackers, ice cream and chocolate… this gave it to me in a whole new way!

6.  Scoops n’ Scoops

Ice Cream + Cotton Candy = Heaven!  I feel like there is no where to get cotton candy nowadays besides Disneyland and the Orange County Fair. This places adds another level to ice cream by adding cotton candy!  If you have a huge sweet tooth like me, this place will satisfy your cravings for sure!

7.  Afters Ice Cream

Donuts are by far my favorite dessert, and ice cream comes in second.  Mix those two together and you have After’s Ice Cream!  My favorite to get here is a donut sandwich with cookie monster ice cream in the middle.

8.  Nothing Bundt Cakes

Cake is probably my least favorite dessert, but if it’s bundt cake, and it’s from Nothing Bundt Cakes, count me in!  My favorite is a strawberry shortcake bundtini (how cute is that) and then the red velvet is a close second!  The cake is so creamy and the flavors are so strong!

9.  Miss Donuts & Yogurt

Like I said before, donuts and ice cream were just made for each other.  Miss Donuts & Yogurt is basically a donut shop and Yogurtland combined!  It’s a one stop for any dessert cravings in my opinion.

10.  DK’s Donuts

I told you donuts were my favorite!  Whenever I am craving a donut but don’t want to drive all the way to Krispy Kreme, this is my place.  They have all the flavored donuts you could imagine and they are to die for.

Like I said, besides Krispy Kreme, the rest are in no particular order!  I hope you guys venture out and try these dessert places and let me know what you think!
