Drug Store Make-up Must Haves- Top 5

So I did a post not too long ago about my favorite lip products and then my everyday make-up routine, (you can find them here & here) so I thought I would do my top 5 products.  All of these products were mentioned in my everyday make-up routine post, but I thought I would go more into detail on them since I got a lot DM’s about them!  Let’s get started…

1.  Mascara Primer

This one in particular I got a lot of questions about, like what does it do, does it make a difference, etc.  I personally think it made a huge difference for me, especially since I use the actual mascara that goes with it which I’ll mention next.  This primer is basically like a face primer but for your eyelashes-it does the exact same thing.  It goes on as a white mascara and I use one to two coats of it.  I wait for it to dry before I put the second one on, and then I go in with my mascara.  It makes my lashes look much more thicker and full which is what I like!  I never would wear falsies everyday, nor am I planning on ever getting lash extensions when this stuff makes me look like I have them.

2.  Mascara

So this is the mascara that I put on after the primer.  As you can see from the pictures, they are the same brand!  I think this is why these work so good together.  Even without the primer, this mascara is without a doubt the best mascara at the drug store.  I’m telling you, it changed my life, lol.  But in all seriousness everyone I talk to that has it swears by it and also recommends it!  Its super black which how I like my lashes to look, and after multiple coats they just keep getting thicker and bigger.  *Insert heart eyes here*

3.  Finishing Powder

To everyone who has oily skin, this one is for you!  After 3-4 hours I get super shiny and it makes my make-up look like it is sort of melting off–which isn’t cute.  I apply this throughout the day to my t-zone and it usually covers up my shiny points and makes me more matte, which is the goal since I’m oily.  This powder is super cheap and does the job too.  I’ve used higher end products that do the job as well, but I don’t mind paying a smaller price and having to re-apply it more often because it is so easy.

4.  Concealer

My favorite drug store concealer by far!  A lot of people say this concealer is a dupe for the Nars concealer, and it less than half the price. Depending on the day, my under eye circles can get pretty bad.  So some days I just use a dot under each eye and other days I go in full force windshield wiper motion covering everything.  Either way I use it, it does the job.  It can be a light weight with some BB cream or a heavy duty with 24 hour foundation.

5.  Bronzer

This bronzer is magic!  I would say I’m an olive skin tone, and in the summer I get pretty tan.  This bronzer color showed up on me perfectly, and I wear it everyday!  It definitely sticks to its name “butter” because it really does apply like butter.  Its pretty creamy, and some say its hard to blend, but I think if you don’t put that much on you won’t need to blend as much.

That’s all for this post, thanks for reading!
