Boy have I had my share of watching the little ones go through teething. The funny part is, is that I’m not even a mom yet! I’d like to think that by the time I am one, I’m going to be an expert 😉 Anyways, before I get started with sharing my tips on teething, I wanted to write a little disclaimer. I am in no way, shape, or form a mother. These are strictly my tips that I believe work really well, considering I have a wide variety of experience with babies. Every child is different, so if you re going to use my tips please remember these things that I have previously mentioned. 🙂
Ok, let’s get started! My number one tip for teething, is medicine. Everyone has their own view on things, but I think medicine really helps. My first recommendation for meds would be kid Tylenol or Orajel. Tylenol is pretty common, and so is Orajel, but I would be extra careful when using this one because it is really easy to give more than the dosage that is said on the bottle. You can find both of these at your local Target or CVS, or click here and here.
For those of you who don’t like to use medicine, I recommend keeping something on their teeth 24/7. Since they are teething, they are going to be chewing on everything anyways so you might as well give them something that is meant for it. My favorite teething toys are the Sophie la Giraffe, Sassy Terry Teether, Malarkey Kids Munch Mitten, and Nuby Teeth-eez. You can click on all of them and they will lead you directly to the website! I would recommend all of these teething toys for a variety of reasons, but mostly because I’ve seen them work. The one that works the best in my opinion is the Sassy Terry Teether, because you are able to put ice cubes inside and they are able to suck on them. Some people even add food flavoring, but that is optional. The mittens are an excellent concept, but I’ve seen a lot of the babies I watch just take them off because they are easily annoyed by them.
Like I said before in my disclaimer, I am not a mom, but this post is for all my mom friends who have little ones that are teething and for my clients! I am a nanny and I love what I do, and have gained a lot of experience from it and I hope to continue to share more posts like this for my clients, followers, and mom friends. Happy week!
XO,
