Travel Guide: Honolulu, Hawaii

I feel like after being in Hawaii I’m a total pro! πŸ˜‰  I loved exploring the little city and also staying around the hotel.  Since I did come for work, it wasn’t like I was doing my own thing and making my own itinerary-but hey, I had a blast!  My whole life I have been on vacations that are pretty much all-inclusive, so exploring outside of hotels to me now is very foreign.  Not that I don’t love it, but it is definitely a change not going on tours and having every second planned now as I go on vacation.  I like to call this a “work vacation” because I was working but I was also having so much fun!  I was able to try a lot of foods from different restaurants and try new foods. Since I did a travel guide of Oregon, which you can find here, I decided to do one for Honolulu! Let’s get started…

FOOD: You guys, I ate so much food while I was here.  Literally enough for probably 2 weeks.  And let me tell you, it was all junk food…#whatdiet.  Ok, I wasn’t on a diet before I left, but like I said a couple posts back on my new diet post (which you can find here) I am really trying to make a switch.  With the exception of Hawaii totally throwing me off, I am trying to get back on track slowly but surely.  Here are my recommendations for food:

Lappert’s Hawaii, Cheeseburger in Paradise, Goofy’s Diner, Waikiki Brewing, Kona Brewing Co., Maui Brewing Co., and Henry’s Place.

PHOTOGRAPHY: Rhema Jaime.  I got photos done while I was out their for social media and my blog and I am SO happy with how they turned out.  So happy that I am doing a whole separate post on my pictures to share with you guys!  Right after the hotel review.  So many fun posts coming!!!

HOTEL: Hilton Waikiki Village.  AMAZING.  This is where I stayed, so I am just going to review this one but I am doing a whole separate post on it which will be coming shortly! Stay tuned πŸ˜‰

ADVENTURE:  So, I am not much help in this department considering the biggest adventure I did while in Hawaii was go down the big kid slide πŸ˜‰ but, I am sure if you go online and through the concierge desk of wherever you are staying, you will find plenty to do.  It’s Hawaii!

This is us after an afternoon of exploring!  Ice cream and shopping is exhausting! πŸ˜‰

XO,

Danielle Alana
