One Year Blogiversary

IMG_3529.JPG

Wow, it’s crazy to me to think that one year has passed since I started this blog.  One year since I decided to put myself out there for the world to see, mistakes and all.  In this rollercoaster we call “life”, creating a blog has been one of the best decisions I have made to date.  I’ve been given amazing opportunities, met friends, made connections, and done things that I never thought I would do in a million years.

I started out by making this blog to give myself another outlet to share my life with the world– and all the things I loved; beauty, fashion, lifestyle, travel, and more.  From the moment I started I had a really positive attitude about everything, and was mostly just doing everything for fun.  I had a love for getting my pictures taken and of course, shopping!  I asked one of my best friends, Sydney, if she wanted to be my photographer and boy has it turned into a full time job!  Sydney has already been to New York with me for fashion week as my photographer, and I think if you told both of us that when we started we would’ve laughed.  I’m excited to see where else blogging takes me and also Sydney.  Thank you a million gf!

Besides the fun photoshoots, blogging has definitely turned into a job.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m not making an full-time income with blogging yet.  But it has gone from “for fun” to some business faster than I expected!  With exploring blogging as a job, comes a lot of mistakes.  I have no background in marketing or business, so I’m learning everything for the first time.  With that being said, I’m still learning and I still have A LOT to work on.  Thats the best part though, honestly.  Its something that I’m interested in and I also get to learn and enjoy during my free time.

I wish I could do a really cool post on how I’ve been growing my blog, and tips and tricks with everything I do…but the truth is, I still need to learn a few things before then.  It’s a wild adventure and I’m so grateful that I took the first step to start blogging, because so far it’s been a dream come true.  To those who continue to go to my blog and read my posts, support me on Instagram, say kind words and encouraging things to me, I hope you know it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Thanks for stopping by, and cheers to one year!

Danielle, I absolutely love your blog! So cute and 100% my aesthetic. I first discovered your blog from The Nanny Collaborative when you were in Hawaii with your nanny family and have been following it ever since. I seriously love the majority of the products you use and that you actually reply to your followers questions (you’ve replied to me a couple times on Snapchat). Keep up the adore blog! XO

Happy Blogiversary! 💕 Danielle, I love following you because your style is perfect for my lifestyle and look. I can easily shop your looks and wear them when I’m out with my girlfriends, on a getaway, or simply going out for coffee. I love the simple basics. You help me style this in the perfect way – whether it’s a cute pair of shoes or accessories!
