Normally, I really get into goals every year. They’re so motivating for me and I find them to be really fun! After the year of 2020 though, I’m starting out small. Real small. One of the biggest things I learned last year was that family and friends are really all that matters at the end of the day. I think we can all agree that the year taught us what was most important!
My little goals include everything from remembering to take monthly photos of baby boy, staying on top of my photo albums of him, and keeping up with his baby book. I think one of the reasons those are my top priorities is because I completely failed myself when it came to bump photos and my pregnancy book. I pretty much stopped doing them when I got sick and didn’t jump on board again when I started feeling better. I’m pretty mad at myself about that, so I need to make sure baby boy doesn’t get failed when it comes to those things lol!
Pretty much every year fitness is on my goal list, but you know what, I don’t mind it! It’s super cliche, but I don’t think there is anything wrong with wanting to prioritize it every year. Because its never too late to get back on track with eating and exercising! With this year being my first time being a mom, I have no idea what postpartum will look like. Will the weight just fall off like everyone says it will? Or will I have to work to get it off? Regardless, I’m excited for family walks and I think having little guy here will really motivate me to want to eat healthier.
My hope for 2021 is to be able to travel, to see all my family again (normally) and for everyone I know to be in good health. It’s sad to say, but typing that even feels like a stretch. Remember when getting to 2021 seemed like all of our problems would disappear and everything would be back to normal? Ya, me too. 2021 is now here and we still have a ways to go. But, a girl can hope.
Towards the end of this year, my blogging business started booming. Such a huge blessing and the feeling of being so accomplished is one of the best in the world. Work isn’t everything, but I realized how much I really do this love this job and I want to give it my all. Tim has believed in me from the start, but I go through lots of periods of ups and down. Especially this year–there were times where I just wanted to quit. But, my business goals are big this year and I’m excited to have you guys follow along!
I can’t believe Tim and I are just days away from meeting our son! That in itself is going to make the year better than any other one. The biggest goal of all is to get as many snuggles in as I possibly can, and as much time as possible as a family of three. Here’s to making this year the best one yet, and remembering what is most important!
