And just like that, my baby is THREE years old. Mamas, where does the time go? I swear he was born yesterday. This guy is happy, loving, curious, funny, kind, and my sunshine on a rainy day. I just did an updated post on Rhett’s 16 month schedule, which you can read here, so I figured I would do Enzo’s for his third birthday. Let’s get started!
6:00-8:00 WAKE UP
If you’ve read any of my previous blog posts then you know sleep has been really rough ever since we moved. The boys now share a room and as much as I would love to say it’s cute and fun, it’s the opposite for me. I’m not a fan and I simply just don’t like it. However, this is our situation so I’m stuck making the best of it.
Lorenzo has been getting up super early ever since we moved, and it ranges. He also now crawls in our bed in the middle of the night, so depending on where he wakes up, that is also what determines his wake up time. This guy though will pretty much go straight to the fridge, grab a pouch for him and his brother, and then wake him up. They bounce in the crib, eat their pouches and wait for us to get out of bed in the morning. Ha!
Then, we eat breakfast as a family. Lorenzo is usually having one of these options…
sourdough dutch baby with fruit
cereal with fruit
eggs & fruit
pancakes/pastry of some kind with fruit
He’s just like his mama and loves breakfast. So he normally devours anything I put in front of him!
8:30 GET DRESSED
We are in a big “I do it” phase currently, so getting dressed takes quite some time. I love watching him be independent though and see what outfits he puts together. They don’t always match, but I do shop for a lot of his stuff at the same place I do Rhett’s. Old Navy, Zara Kids, and H&M are my go-to’s.
8:45-11:30/12 PLAY TIME
The best part of the day! If we aren’t making it out of the house to do something like the park or the zoo, this is what you can normally find him playing with.
Inside, we love magnatiles. We got these for Christmas and they’ve been a hit for both of the boys! Dinosaurs are also a favorite around here. We have a dedicated box of figurines that the boys play with and it includes little people, animals, dinosaurs and their favorite movie characters. And of course, we can’t forget about the cars. They dominate our entire house! Shop the above graphic on my LTK storefront here.
12-3 READY, SET, NAP
This is now what we call rest time. Again, since the move…naps have been pretty non-existent with this guy. Rhett naps in their room, which leaves this guy on the couch to watch a movie. On a lucky day, he’ll fall asleep watching one. Pretty much everyday though, it just consists of him quietly watching a movie. Which is better than nothing, and it’s also my break!
We are getting new doors installed soon though, and once we do, I plan on implementing a new plan which will be Rhett napping in the nursery, Enzo napping in their room and then once the new baby comes, them napping in our room. That’ll at least (hopefully) work for a little bit since I’m not the biggest fan of him getting hours of screen time a day. But you do what you got to do!
3-4 THE FINAL STRETCH
This is us waiting for Tim to get off work, ha! Enzo is usually following Rhett around during this time and the two of them are either playing or getting into trouble together. Or we’re outside playing, waiting for daddy so we can go ride our scooters! Which is currently one of his favorite things to do.
4-6 DADDY TIME
I am normally prepping dinner around this time and finishing up household tasks. You can find Enzo riding his scooter, playing with rocks, running around outside, or rough housing with Daddy. This is the boys favorite part of the days I think!
6-6:30 DINNER TIME
We sit and eat dinner as a family every night and it’s one of my favorite things we do. Head on over to my Pinterest to see what I’m cooking!
6:30 BATH TIME
Another favorite part of his day. He has always loved taking a bath, and not only that but it helps him wind down at night too.
7-7:30 PAJAMAS, BOOKS, SONGS & PRAYERS
Our last little half hour of the day consists of quality time. We sing songs, they pick books, we say prayers. I love it!
7:30 LIGHTS OUT
Time for bed! We go in their room at night and stay in there until they both fall asleep, currently. This can take anywhere from 15 minutes to over an hour. Lately he has been doing really well and going straight down in his own bed, and laying there while we sit with him. On rare occasions though, the energy levels are high and we’re running circles throughout the house, really having to set firm boundaries. For now though, bedtime has been smooth with him recently! He uses a pacifier still and also goes to bed with a water cup on his nightstand.
And there we go, Enzo’s schedule at 3 years old!
